I have been asked by another LZ to help someone local to me with a dead Rangie due to battery drain and loss of synch and EKA issues.
My Nanocom is only licensed for the Thor engined Rangie and for all I know they may have a GEMS machine.
Will Nanocom accessing the EKA/Security subsystem care about this?
Will my Nanocom just refuse to connect or will it let me access the key synch/EKA entry/security disable functions irrespective?

I don't know, and before I go off to help this guy out I would rather know if its just a total impossibility.
Many thanks in advance.

Ahh no worries @DanClarke it is a GEMs.

I was looking to buy a sync mate from Blackbox Solutions but website in Cyprus.

Anyone bought one from their before?

Got my Nanocom from them. Excellent service.

BTW, might be worth looking at his ebay site, free delivery might save you a couple of quid.

You can't access the gems ecm, but the eka goes via the becm and lifts the immobilisation. The becm should not have lost synch with the ecm, though if it has then yes, you're stuck. If it's a local visit I would suggest you give it a go. Where's your dad, Lucas? I have a gems nano, in sw london

Ah OK, not to worry, just read the other thread, Essex, and you specifically think there IS a synch issue between ecm and becm

True that - not sure we know the age of the vehicle, but for OPs reference my GEMS is a Feb 98 build and used v37.

Ok, so if the dash says to - input the EKA or press the fob - then you should be able to clear that with any P38 nanocom (and the EKA code, of course).
