Hi,

The latch on the spare wheel carrier of my 96 Sportage has sheared off,
and I can't find anyone who will weld it because it's alloy.

My local Kia dealer has quoted me a fortune for a new replacement
carrier. Can anyone suggest a good source for a used one?

Depending on the shape, a small engineering works might make a copy. If you
would like to send me a digital photo of it I might be able to help, low res
will be OK. Failing that I have a friend who has a sportage, I might be able
to look at that if he has not sold it yet.
