Hi everyone
In brief the spare wheel winch on my discovery 4 has been broken the cable will not hold. The disco is 2010 and the spare wheel winch is lowered by using a wheel brace on the nut at the top of the winch.
However when I tried to buy one I was told by a LR dealer part no. LR064520 was correct for my discovery. So I asked how do you lower the winch as this part has a steel plate with a hole in it instead if a nut. I was told to use a stick!
So although I am not an expert I believe that is ridiculous. Cany you help I need to know if this is the correct winch for my disco and what tool do I use to lower and rewind the cable.
Many thanks Yvonne![Smiling face with smiling eyes  😊](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f60a.png)
