Replaced my fuel lift pump this afternoon after diagnosing the original as f*****d and really impressed with the difference it's made, particularly off boost <2k rpm driving. Also seems to have sorted another issue I was having with occasional overheating at WOT under load (i.e up hill).

I went for a Delphi pump for those interested.

What were the symptoms before you changed it...and hows performance now? Not sure mines on way out or not...low top end speed, quiet turbo, starts a bit slow.

Similar to yours really - crap top end, really difficult to start after it had been standing overnight but then fine after the first start, sluggish off boost and not as it should be on boost either.

The engine feels a bit more eager generally, I'm not having to rev the crap out of it quite as much to make progress - particularly on hills. Hoping my fuel economy will improve a bit as it had been hovering around 25mpg over the last couple of months.
