Removal of Visco red fan. I have the special spanner and I know its the opposite thread but I still can't shift it. Is there some secret way to get it off without getting a hernia.

If it is stuck then providing constant pressure will just turn the belt whereas a shock will have more chance of releasing the thread.
When you put it back on use a small amount of copperslip on the thread and make it a habit to release the fan once a year to prevent it happening again.

Thanks guys, looks like I just need a bigger hammer.
Once it's off I can then install the Kenlowe fan I have purchased.

Thanks again guys. It came off after a good belt with a large hammer.
I have attached the Kenlowe fan, just have to get it wired up.
I have noticed the engine warms up much quicker and the engine seems a little more revey and a little quieter. I just hope the heaters will be a bit more efficient now in the winter time.
