ok iv looked and cant find the answer!!

can i wire a relay with a switch on the coil earth pin 85 and run a fused battery cable to pin 30 and then spliced on to pin 86, pin87 out to two work lights?

thank in advance

Why would you want to??? Just wire it normally and splice the feed out to both lights. As long as it's a 40amp relay and a 20amp fuse you'll be fine..

to be honest it was to save me running loads of live wires back and forth on the disco.
+ve from bat in trim to the back via relay under the trim behind back window and door,
earth run from relay under roof lining to where the sun roof switch would be if i had one and on the the earth behind it

I think you meen wot I plan to do
Run a power cadle to the rear for work lights ect
mount the relays at the rear conected to the said power cable
Operate the relays buy single wires from the earth pin of relay along the roof to roof mounted switchs
Having a switched earth and less wires

its on my list of things to do
