been looking at fitting a dash camera in my 110 and have seen a fair few on amazong for around £30 but im guessing these wont be very good? anyone got any recommendations of a decent camera that isnt stupid money?

Have a look in the insurance section - A/F posted up a list of "approved" cameras which can gain you a 15% discount

I use one of these: Welcome to BlackVue

Far clearer image than most of them have and you can access the recordings wirelessly with a mobile or a tablet - also has the option of an extra camera at the rear which is pretty important.

Adrian Flux Approved List:

·Auto Eye UK
·Black Vue – 380 & 400 G.HD
·ChilliBongo
·Exeros HD Car Cameras -l HD 1080P model within built speed camera detection
·ForView FHX 2000 & FHX 1000
·IPIXI
·MI Witness HD Camera
·Next Base InCarCam – Lite / Deluxe / Professional Models
·Novus System – View I Ruby and Silver Systems
·Phantom Cameras
·Roadhawk Forward Facing DC1
·Silent Witness SW001
·Silent Witness SW010
·SmartCam2
·Smart Witness Cameras
·TTW Black Vue Cameras
· VCAM

All the cameras above will normally fetch a 15% discount

I keep meaning to research all the cameras and pull together a document of cost, features, etc. but not had time...

there are some that have a warning built in for traffic cameras to avoid tickets;)

Just bought one, for under 11 quid it's gotta be worth a go :)

Mine is recording 24/7.

I did have a problem with it stopping recording a few months back but it was the cheap memory card that was the problem. After sticking a decent card in its been fine.:)

I drive a coach for a living and brought a dash cam from amazon £17.45. You need to put memory card in but excellent camara. Records every 15 minutes and when card is full automatically overwrites itself. Even has night vision. Also has replay colour screen

That Smartcam 2 footage was quite interesting to me. It was on roads I use every day in Selby: Bondgate, Flaxley Rd., Scott Rd., ending up at the car park near Sainsbury's, behind Motosave. Apart from that I looked at it to see what the quality was like and was favourably impressed. I think at that price it seems pretty good.
