Hi all,

Just had a load of wood in the back and scratched off some of the rear window heating element...does that conductive repair paint really work? Anyone tried it?

Cheers

It works, but it can look gash from the outside. Either side of each break, lightly scrub the contacts with a scotchbrite pad to give the best possible contact. Apply the paint using a ruler and a toothpick to try and keep it straight and neat.

I used to repair them when i was a windscreen fitter, clean it up and use masking tape to get a nice clean line. Fiddly but worth the extra effort to make it look as good as possible.
