hi all, I want to turn my tail gate into a swing away door , it's a td5 double cab and I often take people in the back, wanting to have a swing away to ease access , is there a kit or am I going to have to crack the welder out ? If any one has already done it I would appreciate a pic or 5 cheers

I'm guessing you will need to get a new/second hand swing away door and get some new hinges. You may also have to drill out the holes for the hinges tub side.

You can side-hinge your existing tailgate with the addition of a pair of hinges, for the non-hinged side you can use a pair of Antiluce catches connected to genuine or home-made brackets.
Alternatively just buy a genuine side-hinged tailgate, not cheap but uses standard parts. ALR7259 is one option.

Looks good! I wanted a handle and lock assembley ideally ! ,ight go for a custom job tho, thanks
