Right, is this this a common problem?

The bracket on the rear axle which the shock mounts to.

THis is the second time its happenned to me, both side have done it, welded it back on and reinforced it.

Is this a common problem and why does it happen? Never had it happen on any of the other Defenders we've had.

Its a 1993 model with rear discs.

Cheers

James.

Lol, no thats true and I do expect it to go wrong tbh, it just seems odd because iv never had it happen before and its now happended twice. Must catch dirt being back there and rot away.
