good evening everyone.
im looking to replace the rear propshaft on my 90 tmw and was wondering if theres anything in particular i should be looking for, any common probs or troubles. is it as simple as it seems?

hell yes piece of pi**. jack her up at the back on one side leave hand brake off and undo eight bolts and robert is your mothers brother

why jack it up?
I can change the prop on my series by just crawling underneath!

agree with leavin handbrake orf tho, coz it means yu can rotate the prop to get to all the nuts.

dont forget to chock the wheels tho.

gotta jack it up so the wheel can turn otherwise the prop wont turn will it and its a bugger to lie under it when its movin unless you got one of those little boards wi wheels on

Thats why i said to jack it up at one side so you can spin the wheel and make the bolts nice and easy to get off by gettin them at the bottom

2 ring spanners, a short and a standard either 9/16" or 14mm should do ya. If you're mega spawny you can do all 8 bolts without jacking a corner up and twiddling a wheel, but you have to be a lottery winner to do it ;)

replaced rear prop no probs. only trouble was finding alot of play on the front shaft so just brought the part from flea bay. thanks for the guidance.
