Hi all,

Recently noticed a 'clunking' when changing gear.

Got under her today and found a lot of play in the rear joint of the rear prop shaft.

I will be able to fit new one later this week, just wondered how long it will last?
I can live with the clunk and I only travel 30 miles (round trip) each day - any thoughts.

Could go in a mile, could go in a month

@ 50mph constant and providing the temp remains at or below 16degrees C you have 18hrs 42minute 21secs. before the prop will need replacing.

Other factors may influence the above prediction

Thanks for your replies chaps, I know it's a difficult one to predict!

seriously remove it and engage diflock then drive it in 2wd. not worth risking it going bang whilst ya driving it.

remove prop, engage difflock, only sure, safe way until you get new bits, be warned they are not nice to drive in front wheel only, mine certainly wasnt...
