I was following the wife home today and noticed that when she braked no lights came on. The ones mounted in the lower bumper occasionally came on on when the car came to a stop, but there apart from that nothing. Indicators are working but only in the lower cluster in the bumper.

SO the questions I have are.

1) What are the 2 upper light clusters for as no lights came one here during braking or indicating. Should they have?

2) Is the brake light problem just a brake pedal switch issue?

Top ones are only reverse / fog. Bumper ones are stop/tail and indicator.

Can't help with yer intermittent fault though.

Problem all resolved. Was a faulty brake sensor. I popped into AL Services in Poole who were very helpful and he sorted me out with the required parts.

The new switch has also sort out the TC dash light always being on as well.
