Hi

has elec lock and sometimes it just doesn't engage? the inner handle doesn't work when this is the case also

any advice greatly received

When u open it check the child lock....move it up and down few times, push it hard to unlock position.....this locker used to mess things up.

try holding the lock in the unlock position whilst trying to open it, if that works you'll be needing this...

cheers guys; lerk - have tried that and it didn't do the trick and have tried the child lock and still not ok - so it looks like the spring... :doh:

If holding the key over to keep the lock up doesn't let you open it, i'd be more inclined to suggest popping off the badge over the outside handle and pushing that all the way back towards the door...

What Lerk said. The outside handle pivot seizes up. Work it backwards and forwards a few times and squirt the lubricant of your choice on the pivots.

Worked for mine.....
