Hey

well today was a today write off ... took my Discovery 300tdi prop of to swap for a 200tdi plus flange to find my shaft in the diff had loads of play "side to side up down etc .. i was after a guide on how to rebuild and what what i will need so i can keep it as a spare

any help on this would be great?

2 bearings 539706g and 539708g plus seal ftc4939,was nut or bolt tight when you checked for play ?

doers anyone have a gude on how to replace these ? i cant find 539708G ?

you wont its 539707g i hit the wrong button there is a guide i believe but set carrier bearings properly not as in guide

depends on how many youve done and what tools you have or can make ,but mark one diff carrier bearing cap so you know which is which ,if you use timken bearings shim between pinion bearings should set new bearings ok
