what about rear diff pan ,does it need new one you need to pull diff out and pack axle tubes to contolr grinder debris best welded with axle off unless your good

No far from it. I know my way around the forum software and how to search. The point is, I haven't found the answer to my original question, plenty of stuff about using JB weld etc. Thats why I asked the question, I don't have all day to trawl through the hundreds of threads referenced in a Forum Search.
