would someone kindly let me know what the rear lights are for in my rear bumper as the indicators work fine but although the bulbs/lamps are intact, the red lights do not operate with either the tail lights or the brake lights.

what are they..............brake lights or tail lights ?

On my 1995 300 Tdi these lights are just rear lights, not fog lights. So when I turn the lights on I see 4 rear lights, 2 on the bumper and 2 on the main light cluster. The fog lights on mine are also in the main light cluster.

Hope this helps.

I think that around 1996 the rear bumper lamps were changed to include the indicators and red tail lights but not the brake. Fog are still in the main cluster as r the brake, tail, indicator and reverse lamps..

how much are the rear bumper lights to buy the clusters? and could you cut the bumper and place these on a 200tdi? am sure the bumpers are the same? just thinking of giving the old girl some face lifts here and there.

Thanks guys, I'm going with tail lights.......
The Discovery is a 1995/96 ES model and it does have the stop/tail lights in the main cluster along with indicators, fogs and reverse lights.
now all i got to do is make them work.
shame my electrical training didn't include vehicle wiring eh ?

Still it'll keep me outta the pub.
thanks again guys.
Gary.
