As above really was out laning yesterday and noticed a drip of oil on inside of tyre. Whipped wheel off looked like caliper for a second but no loss of fluid there.so am thinking its got to be the axle.it must be leaking by the backing plate for disc running down on to the tyre.

Question is there a seal in between the disc and axle which could have leaked when axles were twisting.as on way home stopped few times and checked parked on cardboard at home and no loss over night. So bit baffled as to what might be.

Not really, hub seal just keeps crap away from the bearings and only grease in there. Most likely damper oil seal giving up

Taken wheel off.the 5 bolts around the flange are dry upon further inspection it must be ep90 leaking out of the backing plate area as that the only place thats wet after wiping up.cleaning discs and backing plates.

Could it be the oil seal that goes between the stub axle and the axle casing.
