Has anyone fitted a rear axle balljoint?

Do the bolts through the arms and the bracket come out ok?

Do you need a press to remove the balljoint from its mounting bracket and to replace it as the new joint has a serrated circumference?

I am getting a harsh thump from the rear suspension but have replaced the shocks, springs and radius arm bushes but the knock is still there more so over potholes and gratings in the road. Larger bumps in the road like speed bumps don't seem to anoy it.

Thinking it might be the balljoint as car has 224k on it now.
