I quite tempted to ask Santa for one of these RDX SLIMLINE Steering Wheels for Christmas. Has anyone got one, what benefits/disadvantages does fitting one of these offer. If it's just looks then it can bog off at £130. :)

I may well have a brand new one without the boss for sale in the new year!

The boss is very well made and high quality.

:D Leta get Xmas out the way and ill give you a shout! Not fond of posting things now, very likely to get lost/massive delay!

I have one of those in the loft. They used to be cheap, can't remember how much now but I wouldn't spend £130 on one.

I found it to be quite flimsy when I had it fitted (I had it fitted for about 2 years).

I replaced it with a Richbrook one a mate gave me from his RRC, a lot better, seems to be really well made and looks about the same in terms of styling.

After a quick google they're only £85.

Wow... That appears to be fantastic value, I wounder why it's so cheap.?! :)

I'm still unsure what benefits fitting one of these smaller steering wheels offers over the traditional larger steering wheels.

Not sure, it looks ok for the price.

For me a smaller steering wheel would decrease the amount of backlash and give me slightly more space for my elbow.

For me ease of getting in. Fitted a bucket seat which raised my position about an inch, then the large wheel rubbed on my legs was a pita.

Gives you a lot more space if your a larger gentleman! which I am and definitely stops you hitting your elbow quite so much.
Looks nice feels nice but needs a few more turns! Mines the Momo variety
