hi can some one put up detail's on replacing a HG on a p38 4.0 p-reg,i have done HG before just after torque settings and order for the head and detail's on the timing,and timing chain as never done a chain before cheer's.
not sure if will be needing it just incase,going to see how get ontoday.

Change the sprockets at the same time as the chain-they are cheap enough.

Unless I am wrong, which I probably am as I dont own the V8 BUTTTT as far as I understood it you dont have any need to touch the timing chain/sprockets when doing the head gaskets on the 4.0/4.6 P38's?? It has a central cam thingy that pushes rods or summat, I dunno, download RAVE and have a look

RAVE is a must if you have a P38-unless you get all problems sorted by your highly experienced, friendly, inexpensive Main Dealer-as recommended in the Owners Manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
