Hi Everyone,
Just joined the forum, I am looking for some advice about a Range Rover Vogue 2006 3.0 Td6 VOGUE 4dr Auto, mileage of 88,600. Price £15,988. No service history mentioned in the notes?

I am interested buying this range rover from a national dealership, I am curious if this is a safe buy?

I am a complete novice and always dreamed of owning a Range Rover Vogue, but I am worried about the vehicle being 6 years old.

Any information would be greatly appreciated since I do not know about any manufacturing faults or faults that should have been rectified by now, I can only find out about suspect suspension cones?

Do you think the Vogue is a good reliable motor with little faults or will I find out the vehicle has alot of problems?
Do you think it is safe to go ahead and buy the vehicle or should I steer clear?
Please respond and let me know so I can make the right decision.

Here is the link for the vehicle

With Best Wishes

It sounds like an excellent buy, but only if its in Pink, all other colours have a really bad record for reliability.

Hi I have provided more information but no replies about advice from people that have experences of owning a Range Rover Vogue 2006?
I am asking for advice I joined to find out more but I am just getting stupid replies?

Why get stroppy.

You ask a stupid question (twice) in the same section

I'm worried about buying a 6 year old vehicle - you were advised not to buy it as you were worried, now you're acting like a child.

You need to appreciate that the majority of members on here would love a land rover that was built this century never mind just a few years old.

My good land rover is now 12 years old, no worries there.
I'm more worried about paying the mortgage next month

 May I suggest you budget in a sizable amount for a complete sense of humour service

Like it or not the ''stupid replies'' keep the thread active and more likely to be noticed by someone with the experience of owning a vehicle that has reached the stately age of........6 :D

In the mean time, as already implied, use the search facility......or get an underling to do it for you :p

The TDV6 engine needs the cam belts doing at around 100k - this is a big job as some of the belts are on the back of the engine.

I only know things from the Disco 3 side of it, but, it is a £1000 service for this job from Land Rover.

Other than that, in the 5 weeks of ownership i've had from my TDV6, it seems a good engine... tbh though, i'd try and find a R/R specific forum, LZ has an excellent knowledge of the slightly older Land Rover's - the real specifics of the newer ones seem to require more specialist forums.

You do need a sense of humour and slightly thick skin though :D

Just checked the link, looks good enough for the money. Can't believe how cheap they are at that age, not a lot different than I paid for a 2005 110 CSW.

The warranty would be good coming from a reputable dealer, as said the main expense you would have to worry about would be the 100k service but at that money I wouldn't complain. A lot of car for the money.

"snigger"

its quite unbelievable to some outsiders thet some of us actually drive older vehicles quite happily down the road,
oh, and back again.
my landie love is just 21 years old bless her little faults,
but, open door, put key in ignition, switch to start, let it rumble all on its own, while getting in, putting seatbelt on,
glasses, gloves if its cold, and you wont believe this,

jus drive off init..innit!

Oh, mortguage settled 10 years ago when I sold up & retired 10 years early - thank the lord above....

but still want only my old disco doosel fer my everyday car/truck/veheeicle......

everyone to there own tho`.. :)
