Well after a bit of debate of whether to go for a classic or P38

I got a bit dishearten and started looking at jeep Cherokee but didn't last long, heart over head I have now bought my first Range Rover

It's a lovely 2001 P38 range rover HSE with just over 100,000, it looks to be well maintained and in good condition. I am not kidding myself that it won't need some TLC but so looking forward to owning it

A few things I am curious about the car, is that just a some silly stick on exhaust tips or possibly a decent aftermarket stainless steel exhaust?

Is it possible it is an autobiography car or has he just bought the badge on eBay for a £1?

Nice tidy car, she looks grand.

Could be an Autobiography, as they had coloured piping on the seats that matched the exterior paint colour.....and oftentimes quite a bit of wood trim and chrome internally too.
 
And i think it is an autobiography steering wheel as well

Disregard that i was looking at another car on autotrader at the same time :crazy_driver:

True, never thought of that.

Still don't get why people do that, someone offered me a merc c240 the other week, I was tempted till I saw the fake Brabus badges on it. I walked away immediately.

It is a shambles when people do that, my personal hate is M power badges on 320d's
 
Looks a good motor, get under and have a look at the exhaust, you will see if its full stainless, and didn't autobiography models have a different sticker/ plate detailing colour etc on the slam panel, or could ring land rover with vin number
 
Nice tidy car fella.
Like the side steps - big improvement on the OEM's.
I have oval chrome finishers on my exhaust but just ordered a Janspeed cat back yesterday so if anyone is in the sheffield area they are welcome to my old finishers (will post a piccie if anyone is interested).

So what about the people that go in and actually buy a 320D and have the M pack upgrade??you saying they shouldn't display the M badge??


Now - my OH has a BMW Diesel and while the only M badges on her car are inside the car, I can assure you it's an M sport!
