hello every one. i am newly registered on here and quite proud of my new 2000p38 range which i just bought from germany. now the problem is i dont speak german but the message center displays nothing but grman and i cant make out a thing of what it says! :confused: everytime i have to write down and go translate:mad: . could anyone please tell me how i could change the message center language to english!!! hellppppp!!:confused: :confused: :confused:
 
i would imagine your local diagnostic equiped garage will help, or, and i hate to say this, main dealer, aaaaargh, would have the relavant equipment to reprogram the bits required.
the worrying thing is that you have messages in the message centre to translate, hopefully there not bad messages?
 
hello redrange, thankfully the messages are not bad ones. i replaced the battery and just discovered from downloading an english manual that i had to reset the wondows for the one touch operation which was what was on the message center. i was hoping i would be able to change the language without the cash thirsty dealers:( .

I Had exatlly the same matter with mine (flemish into english) (it has to be laptop changed)

took it down to the local LR dealers ans asked them to change it over and confirm that I had all the correct Radio codes / RKA nos etc

this they did

although they tried & failed to change the Nav system over into english

they charged me a hrs time on it but now i have all the codes etc plus they were able to tell me what info they had on the vehicle etc

it was worth it just for the peace of mind plus it gave me the chance to sound out the local with a view to future servicing there.

hi all iam new to site and having bother with 2 codes on my 2000 range coades numbers 1667 1672 can any body help all so if anybody knows somebody how dose decoading at your home i am in liverpool with great thanks j

Can someone tell me what the code p1667 - CI Circuit Malfunction actually means and the solution would be good.

yeah loads!!! but they are worth more than the car!!!

i saw some 19 inch jag ones on a car at the yard the other day, new style, and they loked good and would look well on a rangey but dunno if they would fit! i might whip em off and try em! if i like em i'll just drive off with em. there was only 2 on the car so i hope hes got the others in boot or in unit!!
