Hope you can help me out

I have a 1992 range rover vogue 3.9 v8 petrol with gas conversion

It runs great on petrol or gas,tick over is smooth at around 800 rpm sounds sweat!

you can drive it around no problem then all of a sudden it starts running rough,coughing spluttering cut out and struggles to start.
i had to get the tow truck to get me home the other day.

I have changed the plugs,points,leads,checked and cleaned the stepper motor,new coil maff sencor checked and now i am stumped and skint!!!

I am starting to loose patients,i have had it 3 years and enjoyed every bit of it,but now it is cheesing me off.

Any advise would be great
