Hi All,
I need some advice!!
I"ve just bought a 3 door TD4 to replace my 5 door and the tw-t who had it before me has removed the original Radio and partially fitted a newer Radio/CD player. I want to replace this with an original Landrover Radio which I have, but the only problem is he"s changed the plug which fits in the back of the Radio. Is there any where I can get a replacement plug, or plugs because as far as I can see there are 4 different slots on the back of the Landy radio. And if I can get the plug(s) is there any where I can get a wiring diagram because the one in the Haynes manual has complete lost me.
Any useful advice gratefully received.
Cheers

My Freelander Harmon Kardon system has standard Euro sockets on it. Can you post a pic of the back of your unit that you wish to install ?

Would this connector fit into the back of the LR head unit you have??

The "spare" square hole in the bottom r.h. corner is where the connector from the underseat CD player (If fitted) goes.

You should be able to get the connector with a short length of the loom attached from a breakers. Just solder the wires together and don't forget to use heat shrink tubing to prevent shorting. Hopefully the cable colours will match the existing loom.

You might just be looking at the end of a euro connector, if so the original connector block will be clipped into it.

The cd connector block (if fitted ) might have just dropped down out of view.

Mine is an early 98 model and the original connector block fits a euro connector - so there would be no need for the previous owner to cut or replace anything when he put the new one in.

Hi I have 2000 reg 2.5v6 the radio original connector block is a euro connector so a after market radio will just fit the connector

Thanks everybody,
Because of the advice I got from Landyzone members I was able to fit the Radio and it now works perfectly.
Thanks to one and all for your advice.
Cheers
