Does anyone have an opinion if it is worth fixing the radio in my Rangey or should I bin it and fit a new one?
1996 4.6 HSE Gems Auto
No idea what make but says "range rover " on front so presume is original.
Steering wheel controls and Harmon Kardon speakers, CD changer in boot.
Was fitted when I bought car three years ago and screen never worked, now radio has stopped working but CD works fine.

With the Harmon Kardon speakers I'd say probably less hassle to have it fixed. If it is the Clarion head unit I think they do a repair service on eBay.

Does anyone know how to get the radio out?

Dammit man, you're REME, we all know that is a Level 1 task. Punt it over to MT and let them do it. :p

Well we did have a lad from MT come over saying he smelt burning in his car. He'd replaced a 5A fuse with a 30A because it kept popping anything smaller. So yeah, I'd totally trust them with my own car.

What a wally. Should have just shoved a round of ammo in there ...

Anyway does anyone know how to take the radio out without destroying it or the car? :D

Thanks Wammers

+1 on that, they did the same number on my R/C from my Classic, apparently they can repair/replace any of their products regardless of age - mine is from 1987.
