Hey guys. Hoping you can help me out with some ideas whilst I'm in work and unable to tinker. My 2a had an issue today that I didn't notice till half way to work. All my electrics are working except for the horn and the lighting. I haven't got any blown fuses under the steering wheel and didn't have time to inspect further. Hoping some of you can give me some ideas for when I finish work

Check for blown fuse, loose wire or dirty connection on the horn ... earthing it should make it sound ...
Lights have been covered elsewhere have a search in the Series threads ...

Probably irrelevant but I once had my lights go randomly off and on. Didn't check the horn. Turned out to be the cable which ran along the top of the chassis, and had been rubbed through by the steering rod. Only noticed because it was dark!

OK so after finishing work to find out that the heater plug button wasn't working either. I was forced to tinker in the rain. Turns out one of the connectors at the back of the ignition switch came loose.

If you have the same luck as me, you will now find that another connector was dislodged when you fixed that one. My ignition light warning has been hanging loose for a couple of years now, after I fixed the speedo. Always something to look forward to!
