I have fitted the comfort ones in an effort to keep some comfort. But the rsult was absolutly pointless! They make the ride harsh and limited my articluation slightly due to their hardness. I would say that they have out lasted my old rubber ones slightly but I suspect they will be due to be knackared soon. I am going to replace them with standard rubber ones next time. Jai

I have seen a few comp safari motors running super hard yellow polybushes that actually ripped the chassis apart after half a seasons racing on em apparently far too hard.

Its a land rover - it is never going to be a luxury ride.
I would guess that any articulation restrictions are minimal unless you have other suspension issues.
At least when you come to change them the "old" poly ones will come out nice and easy. For me ease of replacement and reasonable longevity are preferable. It took me two days just to get the old rubber radius arm bushes out. I cant say if mine are better or worse because most of the rubber ones on my 1998 were gone or going. If the poly ones last as long as the rubber ones I'll be happy. You pays your money and takes your choice.

Well a sorted RRC is a pretty nice ride and quite luxorious compared to many vehicles. Our vehicles may not be Luxurious because of the offroad tyres and accesories we fit to them. Fit polybushes to a standard classic and it'll feel like a much harsher ride and loose that lovley soft suspension feel Classics are world famous for.
Articulaton, droop was affected with the wheel hanging in the air I lost about 1 inch droop on the rear. Not that it really matters as there is bugger all weight on the wheels so they would probably still slip anyway.

Well me mate let me drive his 1 year old 90 and there was a world of difference. I mean it stands to reason that rubber bushing doesn't snap it degrades. So I thought I'd re-bush it and get that smooth and less wobbly feel to it, especially as I'm thinking of getting a twin axle caravan to drag the family on holiday in.
By the comments generaly I think I might go for rubber bushing, as they last at least 6 years and 46,000 miles which is what mine's done.
On Matt's question, how the hell do you find out if a Puma Bulkhead fits a TD5 Chassis? I suspect they are very different, Dash, Gearbox, Aircon, Engine everything's different.
