If that is for agreed value, I would say it is a good enough deal.
If it isn't, I would look into agreeing a value. Replacing a vehicle like that isn't cheap now, although you may have only paid a few quid for it years ago.

Our 2a is agreed at 11k, with an excess of 500 quid, I think.
It is very original, and we had to send off pics and receipts for work we have done.
Premium is about what you said, think it might be 128 quid without looking out the paperwork.

Looks very nice. And, as I said before, I doubt if you would replace that with a vehicle of the same age and condition for 7k.
Series prices are through the roof now, and especially around London, because Historic Vehicles are ULEZ exempt.

Yea I guess they are worth what ppl are willing to pay for them, like most cars, but this one was a ground up refurb, what needed doing got done, I even put heated front window glass on it, G90 tyres and wolf rims, wolf alternator (kept the dynamo in case I wanted to put it back on, come summer going to put power steering on itI don't know how much my 2A is worth anymoreseems to be a lot of variation in prices last time i looked

I don't know either. But I find the price guide in the back of LRO magazine is surprisingly close to what I see offered for sale.I don't know how much my 2A is worth anymore
And there are not many decent ones coming up for sale now, the ones that are 3-5k look like real dogs on the adverts.
Mine was a ground up resto too, I'm the second owner if that matters and it's all original apart from the rest 1/4 chassis and engine block, still on a dynamo. Needs work to bring up to decent condition now though, nothing too major though. The worst is ally rot on the back edge of the tub which i don't know how to fix

You can take it apart and put mastic or plastic sheet between the steel frames and the alloy, and then rub down and repaint the outside.
I think there are guides on the forum to how to do this, although I don't know where.
Most alloy panels for these are available new again now, not sure about tubs.
It's more than a rub down, there's bits totally rotted away so there's nothing to bolt it down to the rear cross member

So more the support members underneath than the alloy skin?
Not certain, but those might be the same as the supports on a Defender, and they are avaialble.
