Save your money ....Weve run a 88" S2 with LT77 for the last 4 years and the previous owner for several more previous (including towing Range rovers on a big trailer)
Ignore the 'Pub experts' that will tell you the sky will fall down and the world stop turning IF you run a LT77 with a standard front axle .....
Worst side effect is a slight notchiness on FULL lock in a DRY supermarket carpark ....other than that fine AND it makes for a VERY sure footed series in the wet OR lose stuff .
(Remember the LT77 has a center diff so wont cause transmission wing up UNLESS in diff lock )

still you might have been very lucky it is better to run 2wd with ujs in front axle

I know of several other series owners that have had the same luck as me then.....
The only noticeable difference is some notchiness at low speed tight turns on a dry surface.

probably in the wrong place but what is the best transfer ratio and tyre diameter
want to keep to 750 R16 have a defender LT230 and a Disco LT230 not sure which to fit to LT77
Disco youll have plenty of power with a 300tdi to shift a series with that ratio
