Front propshaft on my '89 90 has decided to break.

Obviously 2nd hand disco shafts are cheaper, but will they fit?

If not, what will?

And about how much will they be?

how is it 'broken'? the only shafts that will fit are the correct ones or custom ones a 90 has a 91and a bit inch wheel base,a disco has a 100 inch wheel base

The right bit will cost you less than fifty quid mate, and when you've fitted it, remember to grease it every couple of thousand, it'll last much longer.

The front diff flange has sheared.

I don't think they sell flanges separately and someone told me they aren't necessarily balanced with different props...

right yer want part number FRC8390 if you want a britpart one £55+VAT
or if yer want a hardy spicer its a FRC8390G @ £82.50+VAT

both from paddocks

Thanks.

I'll get on it.

Not that I need my front propshaft, but would be nice to have a 4wd again...

hang on... You have in intercooler to not kll it? They make it more powerful... ???

And which bit has gone - the input flange on the diff, or the flange on the end of the prop shaft?

Pictures?

Jus tryin to make sure you get the right bits for your LR!

It'd been squealing and mekkin noise for ages.

Went friday morning.

Changing UJ would've saved me the flange, the oil filter, a gallon or 2 of oil and an oil pressure switch, but you know, why fix something that isn't well and truly knackered?
