i have a noise come from my freelander 1 it sounds like a dry bearing the noise starts soon as the wheels start to turn while you are driving anywhere upto 40mph as you take your foot off the pedal to slow down it starts before i take anywhere can anyone tell when i push the prop should they be any movement on the bearing rubbers

There should be movement at the VCU bearing rubber bushings. They are suspended in the rubber so will move in all directions if pushed. The noise is likely to be a dry bearing, within the rubber housing. If you are able to lift the whole side of the car to turn the wheels. You may be able to hear which bearing has failed.
