Hey Wolfy, you never told me you had a V8. I would have been cheaper doin my Defender in gold leaf than coverin the fuel from yours to mine.:D:D I couldnt find a jealous face in here or i would have attached that.
 
yep....i got a dinky ecofriendly 4.0 V8 that loves a good drink and if you got the air con blowing full belt on cold its even thirstier lol

Set up a photobucket account and save your pics from your pc to photobucket.Then click on a pic on photobucket.on the left handside of the pic u will see " Share image ". Left click on IMG Code,then right click and click on copy....Come to landyzone....Right click, then paste.

if your worried about bints opening car doors into your precious then i have one word for you 'tree sliders'
will **** up any doors that are opened onto it!
nice paint job, i just rollered mine recently for exactly the same reasons
 
Car looks good and its satisfying knowing that you did it yourself and it cost very little. Many years ago I roller painted my car yellow( a mini) then went out to play footie.
It tipped it down with rain and when I went back to the car, it was back to its original colour, but the car park was yellow. I used interior emulsion!
For an hour, the paintwork looked really good with a nice silk finish......

Wow - that looks amazing!

my new defender was hand painted in nato green by the last owner - but I'm thinking a re-paint like yours will look much much better..

can you give us some details? did you thin the paint by 10% in the end? did you use smooth, or hammered finish? what make was the knock-off hammerite stuff? did you have to use a brush for the small areas? any problems with drips?

Thanks in advance - Can't wait to give it a crack on mine!
