right gonna double check everything in morning battery brand new less than week old will start with connections then volt reading. Hopefully alternator is ok don't fancy telling mrs i gotta spend more. Just had coil pack and fuel pump fitted couple of weeks ago. Must admit am missing driving the car had to lower my standards a little and get myself pajero to use for time being.:crazy_driver:
 
just checked again with better volt meter showing 12.36v when stood up then put lights / heater and radio on and held it @ 2000 and was showing 13.44v.
 
That would indicate either a duff battery dragging Alternator output down, or a duff alternator me thinks....

Would expect a bit more output thatn that!!
 
had battery checked as well this morning just to play safe. it ok like i said previous it brand new but double checked anyway. the boot did work before it went to a garage to have coil pack and fuel pump fitted and that battery was ok when it went down came back month later no boot opening up and battery completely shot !

No P38 is going to like standing for a month, especially if it has the old RF receiver waking the BECM up and draining the battery.
 
but the battery became totally knackered so in theory when the new battery was put on the boot and central locking should work ?
 
right got boot open and there is power going to the tailgate actuator once the tailgate button is pushed but its not working is this connected to the drivers door and micro switches ?
 
had 2 new door lock actuators fitted central locking and alarm working perfectly now :dance::dance: just need to sort out slight wobble on steering wheel
