Evening , I've just replaced my series 3 indicator stalk , it was clicking and putting indicators on at random times, I've been monitoring the situation and have figured out what the problem is , on the new stalk the angle of the plastic arm is too low so everytime I turn the wheel whether indicators are on or not it hits the raised point , any ideas ? I thought i could use a hair drier to bend plastic slightly but am worried because its more than likely going to break

Does the knob in the steering shaft screw in and out for adjustment, or just file a bit off the lobes on the indicator stalk
