Depends on whether the seals are the top ones or from the bottom shaft. My experience is generally no. Rust on the box tends to eat through seals which cause the leak, or just perished rubber. If you replace the seals, the box may last only another 6 months before they need to be done again. Some last longer. Some last a matter of weeks. It entirely depends on the state of the box's condition and the bearings in the box etc... With the amount of effort to replace the box and get it out, I would always go with changing the box. It is a matter of opinion. I replaced mine for £200 for a recon unit. It is lasting very well and nicely rebuilt.

happened to me too(i mean replaced seals in vain)... u better replace the box or if it's not leaking bad this one works well LUCAS OIL POWER STEERING STOP LEAK FLUID SEAL 355ML | eBay i've used it after i replaced the seals and it was still leaking(not as bad as before though)... this one stopped it for good

Depends on how bad the leak is.
I tried the Lucas Stop Leak, didn't work, replaced the seals and the box still leaked.
If you've got the time and don't need the car on the road for a bit then I'd try replacing the seals. In the end I ended up buying a recon box as the Disco's my only transport.

the box is not the end of the world.. do a search for threads on it. there are loads of step by step guides and I put my own guide on here.. From start to finish, allow yourself a good day to change it if you have not done it before and make sure you have a good supply of fluid.. Dont forget once you remove your pipes from the top of the box, fit some new O rings. This will prevent the top pipes leaking too.
Also, one other tip for you... If you can, buy a box with a drop arm attached. It may cost an extra tenner, but will save you hours of swearing to get the old one off!!! You can get them off.. I did, but you need a heat torch, big hammed and a gear puller! They are not easy!
