any ideas on this im on my 2nd power steering pump they work on the donner car but when it comes to mine they leak my tame grease monkey says the seal get disturbed when there moved any ideas out ther in landy land ,the cars a 98 freelander diesel ,it tows our caravan all over the place and we love it ,(when it works ) cheers ,stu:welcome2:

I can't see why you would disturb seals when just changing from one engine to another.

Perhaps you've just been unlucky?

thats what i was thinking but its happened twice now ,cant afford a new at the mo so anyone know best place for cheap 2nd hand or recon stuff?

im not too sure near where the bolts pass through to the water pump (i think) its just what im getting told

Mmmm........are you sure there is an 'o' ring seal under the high pressure pipe connection? could easily get lost/overlooked.....

still no joy on it ,any one know if ive gotta put a 98 one on or even a diesel will a petrol one fit ?

the power steering pump on the rover 200/25 400/45 are the same
