My power steering is buggered.

A few miles from home last night, my steering felt like I had a flat - but when I got home I see my engine bay is spalttered with power steering fluid.

Soooo's, what's the damage?

Please don't say a new pump - I spent too much on the bugger recently!

I'm sure I read somewhere, that you can replace the seals on the pumps - if that's whats gone.

Help - my arms are quivering at the thought of turning my 265/75/R16 with a 13inch steering wheel

could be a bust pipe, could be the lid has came orf the reservoir(doubtful), best yer have a look and see where its coming from

I had a look last night, and to be honest couldn't see where it has come from.

I have filled the reservoir up again, and bled the system. I expected the fluid to come gushing out when the wheels were turned - but nothing.



I didn't take it for a drive, but we'll see today

get back under and give the rubber bellows a squeeze. it may well be inside them, although it may find it hard to get from them to all over yer engine bay
