So I recently replaced my injector pump with a non EDC variant and now am having starting problems. The engine goes first time if jumped but will not start on its own even though it seems to be turning over fast enough. Priour to the pump swap it didnt need to turn over very fast at all to start. Glow plugs are ok as replaced not long ago.

Have done all the usual I.e. checked fuel etc at the injectors which is coming through ok, so any ideas?

Do I just need a new battery even though it woirked fine in the days of my edc injector pump?

check volatage at pump solenoid wire when cranking

so swapped the battery for a newbie (the biggest I could fit). Will start now when cold but wont have it when hot!???. If I max out the advance on the pump then it goes but only if jumped and after it has been left to cool a little...

Dont think engine overly worn as it used to start easy hot or cold and in sub zero temps pre edc pump swap out for non edc

Please somebody help.............
