I've got £50 to spend on a portable tyre inflater. I'm looking at the T-Max 72 L/min or the Warrior twin head 90 L/min. Anyone got one these or recommend an alternative?

The reviews I can find on the 72 L/min T-Max don't appear to be of the same model now available and I can't find any on the Warrior. I have a compressor in the garage so this is just to keep in the car.

Be cheaper and safer to fix the tyre, or replace them with ones that do not leak

I don't think I've had any car that didn't need a tyre pumping up now and again. I'm sure all tyres/valves leak. Then there is if you get a puncture and perform a temporary fix. Sometimes you may need to reduce the tyre pressure (e.g., when you get stuck under a car park height barrier) and then inflate them again. I've worn out 3 cheap ones in the past 5 years on various cars.

thor, all tyres leak air as rubber is not air tight.thats why you need to check tyre pressures regularly.the op was asking about a compressor for that reason.

But they do smaller models and from bearmach.

Mine been good

That will be the 72 L/min I was looking at, but there are bad reviews around. However the design in the bad reviews differs from those now available. Hopefully they have impreved them.

about 2-3 times a year need to add a few psi:rolleyes:But it is done for free when I have my oil changed every 6k miles. Got our SUV parked up for 18 months or so and tires are still inflated.......:p:p

And how many do there weekly checks on tyre air pressure? Fook most do not even check there oil or radiator until it goes to hell, and that is a weekly check:rolleyes:

f**k me... he has a brain?

With the **** he spouts on here i'd never of guessed.

Obviously in america they never go laning or off-roading and need to let their tyres down then have to pump them up again when they get back to roads.

mind you, they are obviously too fat and lazy to also undertake an oil change themselves.

I do .. some weekends I check them three or four times .. off-roading and green-laning do that for you.

Have you never heard of those of us who go green-laning?
Never heard of those of us who drop pressures when off-roading?
Never heard of those of us who then re-inflate tyres to run on the road safely?
Never thought that _most_ people probably do do a lot of checks because otherwise they wouldn't last long on todays congested roads?

I get paranoid when laning, oil, belts, rad water, tyres, are checked pretty much every time we stop! (and normally another alternator belt is put on, i carry 5 spare)

My tyres would regularly deflate on a Friday night, they would be fine all week, then suddenly flat. The mechanic said it could be corrosion on just one part of the rim and may only leak if I parked with that in a certain position. I always thought it was drunks having a laugh on the way back from the pub.

Anyway, I think I'll try the Warrior twin head. From looking at similar ones the twin heads are smaller and quieter.
