Hi guys,

I have 4 wheel arches to mount, and a bucket load of pop rivets...and no proper plastic ones.

Is there a problem with using pop rivets to fasten the wheel arches back on? Any special reason why I should use the correct plastic fasteners?

Cheers!

Apart from it would be annoying having to drill them out every time you wanted to take a wheel arch off, I can't see any reason not to. Probably more secure than the plastic crap. I was interested in doing it too but the mounting holes on mine aren't quite up to using rivets on

i did that on one of my wheel arches, used penny washers to give the plastic some more support

Did you put a washer on the back of the rivet or just on the front against the plastic?
Thanks guys

I used stainless bolts/nuts as I found the proper clips to be a pain in the arse to fit properly.

i put a washer against the plastic, can take a pic if you like but they are covered in ****e!

I've pop riveted and used the plastic clips, out of the two methods I would say plastic clips all day long, once you have the first 2 in, it's plain sailing. Pop riveting was a really pain and took ages!
