right evening all, just today i had an issue with my water temp sensor, took the plug off, bit of contact cleaner and worked fine. while i was there i thought would be a good idea to spray some down the maf to clean any **** off it.

Now when i come to start it i have to floor the throttle and it fires after fair few spins and splutters like a c**t then clears, can only assume its the elec contact cleaner.

any ideas or should i just spray some wd40 or carb cleaner through it?

Not WD40 methinks.

maf very sensative be carefull or it will be scrap NOT WD40

I've always used Carb cleaner to spruce up the MAF. Remember that your dicky starting might still be the ECT sensor. What was the original problem with it in the first place?
