changed the pollen filter today ..

LR dealer wanted £41 for the standard replacement part
( i know there are cheaper standard ones available .. )

anyhow .. i found this .. ..
they call it an 'upgraded' type ..

Pollen filter and cabin filter detailed information

@ £28.23

Pollen filter / cabin filter for Landrover Freelander 00 > With A/C

arrived via the post in good time .. 2 days ..

~~~~~~~~~~~
bastard of a job getting the fixing screws out ..
no clearance to fit a socket over them ..
solution .. added a small rubber grommet as a screw washer ..
head now just proud of the housing .. :
enough bolt-head staying proud to make future replacement easy
and .. enough thread to fix the filter securely ..
Changed my pollen filter on Thursday, managed to get a genuine parts one for a fiver on the 'bay. :D
+1 on the 4 fixing screws, you'll need a thin walled 6mm socket, I swapped them for some same sized pan-head self tappers.
