I really need your help...it's probably Ben asked many a time on here, but I was just driving along and EAS fault came up on the dash and all level lights came on. I pulled over opened the bonnet and heard a large hiss. I left the car for 20 mins hoping for it to reset itself but no joy car has now sunk down to access mode only allowing a max if 35 mph and a very bumpy ride home on the bump stops! My thoughts are EAS pump compressor... But please any help would be appreciated!

Check the Black pipes leading to the Valve Block for security and integrity....

If they are all good, the hiss was probably the Exhaust valve opening to lower the car to the bump stops....first thing is to get it on a Diagnostic to see what faults have been logged....

Send a PM to Datatek as he can supply the EAS Diagnostic Lead and Software for around £11 + the postage....

The EAS has 2 failure modes - Soft Fault and Hard Fault - a soft fault is usualy something minor like a heght sensor or similar, a Hard Fault is usually more sinister

If it has gone to the Bumps and warning lights on solid, this indicates Hard Fault and will need to be cleared and reset using a Diagnostic device (such as the one Datatek can provide) - Softs Faults usually reset themselves, but log a code.

First thing is check Pipes, second thing is get the Lead and Software from Datatek...

+ 1. You've got to get it on diagnostics. You might have a shot airbag or leaking airline.

A loud hiss from under the bonnet could also be that one of the air pipes has popped out? Unusual but not unknown so have you checked that all the air lines are pushed into the valve block and also into the air bags. If they are then Saint, Data and Kev are probably correct. But its worth just checking the pipes just in case, you could be lucky. Would probably need a diagnostic to clear the fault code before she rides again. Does sound like a bag has gone though? Did one corner go down first?
