Update /story so far
As mentioned my 2005 TD4 sport Freelander just cut out whilst driving, with no warning and now won't start.
Story so far is the car turns over healthily, immobiliser and Dash lights are all normal. When ignition turns on the dash lights illuminate as normal. Turns over strong and healthy but will not start.
Diagnostics reveal no problems or codes.

So we've checked the rear fuel pump that's ok, changed the filter and still no start.
We've checked the fuel sensor harness and replaced, still no start
Check the fuel rail pressure sensor and supplier fuel was present but not under pressure. So we've replaced with a new fuel pump regulator valve and she still will not start.
So the vehicle turns over normal with no start, rechecked pressure in fuel rail on turning of key and same symptoms as above, fuel present but not under pressure?? Is my fuel pump gone? Broken?
Before replacing it is there anything else I can check?
Thank you in advance
Please help me get my beloved freelander back

There has been lots of posts about hp fuel pump O ring replacement as a possible fix before you replace the pump.

Yes thats been replaced and still no joy. Thanks for all the messages too I'm hoping to get my freelander back soon. It's been off the road for 2 weeks now

Clarify this for us - did you:
A) Use a compatible reader such as iCarsoft, read codes and examine live data such as fuel pressures and sensor values?

B) Buy a cheap reader labelled as “OBDII compliant”, read codes, and find nothing?

Your car should be OBDII compliant, but we’ve seen false codes thrown up by generic readers, and conversely, no codes reported when there were some.

One practical thing you can do is try some easystart. If it starts but dies, look to the fuel system (live data v. Useful here.) If it starts and runs, cam sensor etc.
