As the weather getting Warmer I noticed water dripping under car around gearbox. Doesn't loose coolant so presumed aircon. But now the passenger footwell is soaking. Dripping from around diagnostic plug. It doesn't seem to drip when aircon off though. Any thoughts.

Thanks

Shaun

Does sound air con related, possibly drain tubes blocked. Could also be heater matrix, but as not losing coolant that's unlikely.

It'll be the a/c drain tubes if your passenger side is wet you'll spot the tubes when you crawl underneath

If you have water dripping within the car it is likely the tube is disconnected under the heater. Take the side panel off and have a look. You will have to move the rear vent ducts to get at them though. Bit of a fiddly job.

Just had chance to have a look at this as its now too hot to drive round without aircon. It seems the water is collection in the ducting here and dripping out the joint behind the glove box

Maybe not then!!

They are located under the plastic scuttle panel under the windscreen.

Av located the drain pipes and they were both full of bits of glass and crap.. Cleaned them out and also the pollen filters look like they never been changed from new... And the seals had seen better days so gonna get them on order

Where can I get the rubber seals for the pollen filter cover? The covers are fine but the seals need replacing

I just run some silicon sealant round mine when I do them. Pays to put a blob on the screw head just above (on the windscreen side of the covers) as well, as I had that leaking (as have other members on here).

yep, clear silicone around those, and while you've got the stuff in hand, pop a blob on the screw as well. just eliminates that as a point of leak

Well I've cleaned the drains out and that can be seen as there's water dripping under the car now. But it's still leaking from the ducting......

So, is it clear water or coolant? Clear = condensate or rainwater, red or blue = coolant.
