Same happened to mine and ended up breaking out the lock. Run window fully down, shine in with a bright torch and locate the lock, get an old bit of towel and put that over the door with a couple of inches pushed down into the gap to protect the window then with a long sharp punch (I used an 18" long 1/2" x 1/2" piece of steel sharpened at a 45 degree angle at one end) look for the chamfered black plastic edge on the lock and break it out until a long spring appears, pull that out and my door just openend ready to change the lock. There is a better description in range rover net. Was not that difficult a job, found putting the new one in a bit fiddly but not too difficult. Hope this helps.
