As above really. 300tdi Newish belt and tensioner bearing.

Anyway of guarding against this or is something amiss somewhere?

never really noticed the loss, but then i'm heading in a straight line.
what speed you hitting them at and how many corners in your puddles?

Only about 15-20, 90 degree turns mainly folowing fields on the little roads.
