A raised air intake is not shown in the accessory sale cataloque for the D1 when new.
Link in the above post shows pattern parts only.

I understand. But the step body sides are also accessories and has a STC8942 reference, and winch STC88996AA reference.
For all this, I think the raised air intake (snorkel) will also have a reference.
My discovery 1 of 1994, already has the snorkel of origin Land Rover, but does not appear in the vehicle registration document. To put this accessory in the vehicle registration document, I need the part number.
But unfortunately it is very hard to know.
I know the reference to the Defender, but for the Discovery 1 I do not know.

It seems genuine were made by mantec... see "Type" here http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/374779/5497/raised_air_intake_300 it doesnt have an allocated LR part number, it depends on the supplier, this is for the non-ABS version, for the ABS it's BA2126B b ut this doesnt appear as OEM anymore
